Find out more about career training choices
Career training helps you open doors to a more rewarding future. Whether you want to learn the skills you need to make a career change or simply advance further in your current profession, career resource training helps you improve your credentials and blaze your path to brighter job prospects.
Many employers offer career services training programs to people who want to broaden their skill sets to better service the company. Online career training is another option, and it’s perfect for people who want to keep their present jobs while they train for new careers.
Employer-Based Career Training Programs
If you have the desire to advance beyond your current position at the company you currently work for, ask your human resources department if career management training is an option. It is typical for larger companies to offer interested employees the chance to develop managerial skills, especially if you show some initiative and approach them.
It is also fairly common for employers to offer their workers support if they want to go back to school to get an MBA degree. Many companies – particularly those in finance- and commerce-related industries – will subsidize your tuition fees, or even pay them in full. However, as a condition for financial support, it is usually expected that you will continue to work for the company full-time and complete your MBA training at night and on weekends.
In-Class and Online Career Training
Some people prefer to focus solely on their studies, rather than trying to juggle career training and a full-time job. You have plenty of options available if you’d like to go this route – community colleges, trade schools and career training centers all offer you the ability to learn the skills needed to succeed in a new career. In many cases, you can attend classes on a full-time or a part-time basis, during the day or at night.
If you’d rather undertake career training at home, online schools offer unmatched flexibility. You can study just about any imaginable subject at an online college or training institution, but you’ve got to make sure the school is accredited so your degree or diploma will have value in the workplace.
Education is best viewed as a lifelong pursuit, not something that ends when you graduate from high school or college. Career training opportunities are endless, and if you’re ready to change jobs, the door is always open.
